“Puss Cat” is a grey, domesticated, short haired cat with interesting and inquisitive, big yellow eyes. This cat is hooked using new and recycled wool strips on burlap backing. He is glued and mounted on a board so he can sit up straight and watch what is going on around him. He is in excellent condition.
The rug hooker whom everyone called “Kay” was a homemaker and very involved with the community including the Colchester Historical Society, hospital auxiliary, Old Barnes UCW just to name a few.
She was a Life Member of The Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia and an honorary member of the Colchester Heritage Rug Hookers. She had been rug hooking for over 52 years, learning various techniques of rug hooking from rug hooking teachers of the Ontario as well as the Nova Scotia guilds.
