Story about the rug

This is a Maud Lewis design. Many of her artwork included the water and fishing boats as she lived near the Bay of Fundy. The pattern was hooked by Verlene (Silver) Mosher and purchased by the current owner.

It is hooked with wool strips on burlap backing.  The edges are whip stitched and there is cotton binding sewn around the outside edge on the back.  It is in very good condition.
