This design of this floor mat is an image of Ethelyn’s cat. It is hooked on burlap backing using 100% recycled wool. She has hooked her initial, “M”, in the lower right corner. The edges are whip stitched and there is cotton binding sewn around the outside edge on the back. This is how she finished all her hooked pieces as taught by teacher and friend, Carol Morse, many years ago.
Ethelyn thoroughly enjoys rug hooking with her friends during the week. She started rug hooking as she approached her 50’s.
