Story about the rug

This lovely Garrett design rug was a real find at one of Nova Scotia’s 2nd hand stores, Value Village. The center of the rug is a dear head shaded in beige and tan. It is faded which indicates it was used in an area where there was much sunlight exposure over the years. The loops of wool yarn are hooked very even which indicates the rug was either rug hooked or a punch needle was used. The edges show wear as well, cotton binding is used to edge the rug. Notice in each corner there is a floral like pattern. (If only this rug could talk to share its journey to Value Village.)
