This rug was purchased in 2022 from Rug Hooking Buy and Sell (online). The seller was in Mahone Bay. It needed repairs and the buyer was informed by the seller that this particular rug was in well known rug hooker, Carol Harvey Clarke’s home (unconfirmed).
There are unique and interesting geometric shapes in this hooked rug. There appear to be two primary designs, possibly a wedding rug?
The buyer repaired the rug in places by whip stitching and replacing wool strips that were missing. It is hooked with mixed materials mostly wool and tweed, truly a one of a kind hooked rug.
