“Jumping Catfish” was designed by the rug hooker reflecting on her dad’s life (Azeri). He very much enjoyed going fishing.
It is hooked with new and recycled materials including wool and linen backing. The edges are whip stitched. This was a project started while attending RHGNS Rug School in Truro, NS in a class led by Jeanie Field. There is a label attached to this lovely rug on the back including the rug hooker’s initials and year it was completed.
This memory rug has been displayed at hooked rug shows at the Unitarian Church and at the Halifax County Exhibition.
A lovely family heirloom.
