“Annabelle” is the name of this design by Rittermere-Hurst-Field. Jeanne Field taught this class at the Wallace Museum in Nova Scotia. The oval rug is hooked with new wool hand dyed using ProChem dyes on burlap backing. The edges are whip stitched and cotton binding sewn along the outside edge on the back of the rug.  You can see Leslie’s initials in the lower center of this rug as well as the year she completed it (1995).
Leslie (Boxall) Cameron has been rug hooking for many, many years and continues to enjoy it as well the social aspect of rug hooking with friends. Leslie began rug hooking at the home of Lou Carver and was taught by Lou Carver and Joyce Everette in Truro, NS in the winter of 1995. Leslie was born and raised in Nova Scotia and continues to reside in Nova Scotia.
