Story about the rug

This hooked rug is of two cats, one drinking milk while the other looks on. There are a pair of butterflies fluttering about as well in the background. It is unknown who designed this hooked rug. It is hooked with acrylic and wool yarns on a burlap backing. It was used as a rug and shows some wear around the edges.
Beulah Rafuse, the rug hooker, was born in Farmington and resided in Parkdale, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. She loved the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. She was very invovled in her community including her church group, the Women’s Institute of Parkdale-Maplewood (Life Member), and was presented with the Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee medal in 2004.
Beulah Rafuse: 1929-2018.
