The Maritime Telegraph and Telephone Company referred to as MT&T was founded around 1910 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is the logo that represented MT&T. It was a very large employer with locations around Nova Scotia. It later merged with other companies and has become Bell Aliant.                                                                                                                    It is hooked with recycled wool strips on burlap backing. The backing is folded over to the back and stitched down on the back.  It is in excellent condition.
Robert designed this wall hanging and included the MT&T logo in the centre. He entered it the Annapolis Valley Exhibition, Lawrencetown, NS and won 1st prize.
It is a one of a kind wall hanging and the logo will be recognized by many who see it as many families had family members who worked for MT&T.
