Criteria for registering hand hooked rugs and other items:

Rugs/mats, floor runners, table runners, wall hangings, etc. hooked in Nova Scotia OR created by someone from Nova Scotia at least twenty-five (25) years prior to the current date. Interested in registering a hooked item that meets the above criteria?

I give permission to the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Archives to use any/all documents, for example: photographs, slides, audio and video files, information contained therein. This use is for research, educational purposes in print or online pursuant to the history of rug hooking in Nova Scotia *

Upon receipt of your email, a member of the Committee will contact you to either:

a. arrange an appointment to meet with you to review the information and sew a registration label on the back of the hooked item

OR for out-of-province registrations:
b. verify the information you have provided and mail to you a label to sew to the back of each item you wish to register.

The information collected on the registration form is kept by The Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia and then transferred for recording purposes to the Nova Scotia Archives as a permanent record.
