This lovely floral hooked rug was purchased by the owner years ago at a shop in Mahone Bay that sold hooked rugs on consignment. The shop was called ‘Rags to Rugs”. The owner purchased many hooked rugs from this shop over the years.
The rug is hooked using recycled materials on burlap backing. A crochet edge in black yarn finishes the rug. The colours are vivid. The red scrolls and flowers as well as the green leaves are all outlined in black. The light background surrounded by a black border certainly emphasizes the colours this rug.
